She
paints abstract feelings in a green world. Margoth Karlsson shifts
from impressionistic nature paintings to fully abstract compositions.
- I neither can nor want to lock myself into one style. People are
different from one day to another and therefore I look for different
ways of expressing myself, says Margoth Karlsson. But it is abstract
art that she prefers. Her impressionistic nature paintings are often
slightly abstract and are never direct copies of nature.
Margoth paints in oil with a painter's knife. All her paintings contain
the color blue. She finds the motifs within herself, from spontaneous
recollections and from travels and books.
- I very much like to interpret poems and the feelings they give me.
Lyric poetry is a great source for my inspiration, as well as joy
and kindness, says Margoth Karlsson.
