| As
an artist and potter Sonja Bergman at miniGalleriet in Växjö
is broad in her way of expression. What unifies her products is her
passion for creativity. - I work with a lot of different materials and therefore it is difficult to place me in a single branch, says Sonja. She paints in oil, watercolors and textile and she works with paint brush or pallet knife on her oil paintings. With her pictures she tries to convey the light and also darkness; the atmosphere and poetry in both outer and inner landscapes. Some of her pictures are more recognizable and some are abstract and more demanding of the viewer. Sonja Bergman also works with stoneware. She sculpts, rolls and pinches into unusual artefacts - such as masks that have become her trademark. Lately she has also been fascinated by the radiance of glass and she creates unique jewels using a glass fusing technique. |
